This flyer was created a while back. Last year, if I am correct. We created it as a response to the ubiquitous posters the magical penis enlargement services and products to be seen all of over the streets.
I had put it behind me. Then a few weeks ago I saw documentary that I would recommend. I don’t know if you have seen it. Made by Lawrence Barraclough, My Penis and I is a 56-minutes documentary that has been said to be one of “the most courageous film ever made or a self-indulgent piece of nonsense”. The title of the film says it all. The film, and its sequel My Penis and Everyone Else’s, is freely available on Vimeo.
I don’t know if we can stop people believing that being a man means having a big penis. lies in the penis. What we know is that patriarchy can confuse, and hurt, and alienate. The more we teach, enable, and support boys and men to open up to the fullest range of feelings and thoughts about themselves, the better they are able to live with others and themselves. That’s how self-worth and respect for others is nurtured.
